Celebrating 152 Years !

The Berlin Fruit Box Company, Berlin Heights, Ohio was established in
1858 by Samuel Patterson to make things needed by orchards in the area,
including wooden crates, ladders, beehives and baskets.
A sixth-generation family run company, we are the
oldest basket making business in Ohio and the
second oldest in America. Someday we will be the oldest!

Basket Collections

Our collections of baskets for the home are hand-woven from
Hard Maple, American Cherry, Black Walnut and Ohio Buckeye woods.

Recognition

Ohio Magazine spotlighted our Buckeye Collection in their
“Best of Ohio” article (January, 2010 issue) and
Rand McNally included us in their
“Best of the Road” trips feature (The Road Atlas, 2011 edition).

The DUO Music Basket

Our finest basket ever! Woven from Cherry and Walnut, it features
two 30-note key-wound mechanical music movements and
fine artwork printed on leather mounted to the basket’s Cherry lid.
A limited edition, each basket will be engraved with a sequential number.
